Indian Society of Ambulatory Surgery 2nd National Conference 2013 (ISAS 2013)

Indian Society of Ambulatory Surgery was formed in 2011 by a group of surgeons and Nova Medical Centers India Pvt Ltd to bring awareness, promotion and enhancement of Ambulatory Surgery in India.

Ambulatory Surgery is very well established in the United States with large number of independent stand-alone ambulatory surgery centers where patients are discharged on the same day of the surgery. This model is not well established any where in the world. In most countries the ambulatory surgery is part of large multispecialty hospital and not a stand-alone center. The stand alone ambulatory services will make the health care delivery easier and more efficient.

The aim of the Indian Society of Ambulatory Surgery is to bring awareness of this concept and promote this method of surgical care in the country.

The ISAS had their irst national conference in 2011 in Bangalore. Over 400 delegates attended and the conference was a grand success. We have now planned our second conference in August 2013 in Bangalore. And we expect a great response.
